Origin of Libra

Libra represents the virtues of the Goddess of justice, Themis. Mother of Astraea who became Virgo. Together they represent equity in the heavens.

Libra at a glance:

Libra is the 7th sign of the zodiac and is both the second air sign and the second sign with Venus as planet. They are normally the most socially involved of all the signs. They strive to do the right thing. They have a need for balance in their live. They can weigh possibilities easily and can make well considered decisions; however it could lead to indecision and uncertainty. They have the ability to see both sides of an argument. They aim at fair treatment for all, but can sometimes be over judgmental. Normally sensuous, charming, graceful and with good humor. Although they do love for things to go smoothly, they can themselves stir up a great deal of trouble by their controversial attitudes and behavior. Normally generous, but can become blind to others wishes and needs if it does not fit their way. They need a partner and feel off balance if they do not have one. They can be stubborn when rushed to make a decision and would rather then not choose. They make good parents, especially fathers. They want their own space to breathe and get nervous when crowded or pressured. Strangely they are quite capable of applying pressure onto others, especially if they feel they are acting in every ones best interest, even if you do not feel the same. They have lots of energy and stamina and can make good mates and co-workers. They love getting down on their hands and knees to play with the children. They however need to keep things light and fun to be at their best. They need to talk to others and discover their views and advice before they are willing to make decisions of their own. Being attractive is very important to them and it could lead to and obsession with physical appearance and vanity, compromising their dignity. Fairness is however very important to them.

Virgo-Libra Cusp

Virgo people are normally attracted to beauty and objects of desire. They love to make things more aesthetically appealing. Virgo-Libra cusp people are very concerned with details and this makes them ideal in running a business or project. They are however very concerned with the outward appearance of things. This can lead them to be seen as superficial and ego seeking.

Be a little less concerned with appearance and material gain seeking. Do not forget the spiritual goals and growth and try to stress a little less. Have a bit more fun and relax a bit more. Try not to be too trendy and forgetting your own self just to fit in.

Libra 1

Libra-Scorpio Cusp

Libra 1 are some of the most attractive and talented people around, yet they sometimes struggle to get ahead even though they have a lot going for them. This is mostly due to their perfectionist side that wants things to be perfect or not at all. They tend to have unstable emotions that can through a stick in their wheels at times. Their standards not only for themselves but those around them are very high and can be at times overly so. However, when those standards are met you will know that they are pleased with you. They have a high regard for trust and honor and expect the same of others. Your word is as good as gold. Not easily understood and often mistaken as they have a talent for masking their true intentions. They have a habit and liking for fixing things, from toasters to relationships. Although they can fix most things, they may fall into the trap of trying to fix it so perfect that they actually never complete the project totally, always adjusting and tuning.

Have a little more self-confidence and try not to be too hard on yourself and especially others. Not every one is as perfect as you and not everything in life needs to be perfect to work or to be enjoyed. Sometimes less perfect moments can have more meaning than perfect ones, it shows we are human and life for the moment not the material. If it works, leave it alone even if you think it's not perfect.

Libra 2

Social success is high on the Libra II peoples list. They are not normally power hungry or interested in having power over others. Society and social behavior fascinates them and they can often be seen defining social standards in the people around them. It is not good for them to isolate themselves as they would be wasting their talents and blessing for they have very good people skills. You often get the feeling that you can trust them and they do inspire people. They have a great sense of fun and lighten people's lives where they go. However, being extremely outspoken, they can express their opinion a bit too harshly, especially since they give a high priority to justice and fairness.
They dislike people who would remain blind to the suffering of others. They may then have some harsh words with those people. They do tend to inspire respect from those around them. Trend setters and up-to-date individuals are labels that are often places on them. They have a love of history, fashion, innovation and inventions.

Try not to always give things away, hold on to what you value yourself. Limit your explorations of interesting things or things that can distract and sidetrack you from your heart's desire. Hold on to your own dreams and find your heart's desire. Show that you care.

Libra 3

Libra III people are normally hard-headed realists who have the guts and drive to get ahead. Yet they are not often ruthless in their goal seeking, rather just persistent. They tend to have very high ambitions and can exert influence over others to get their way. The way things are done is of great importance to them, thus it may not be enough for them to win. But also how they got there and the style that was used. They are well aware of their image and it is very important to them to make a good impression. They need to guard against making it the main focus point of their lives. They tend to have a cool, relaxed approach to live and that can infuriate rivals and competitors. Libra 3's can be highly responsible individuals who follow their obligations to the letter. Yet they do not always bond with their loved ones on a deep level that could leave their loved ones feeling misunderstood or even neglected. This is often because they are only willing to go so far in relationships, due to them wanting to have a sense of freedom and refuse to be dragged into complex emotions. They tend to maintain a high standard of quality in their work and tend to be skilled in the technical aspects and adept in financial matters. They do not handle rejection well and can become depressed by it.

As your word is often as good as gold, do not make a promise you can't keep. Look a bit further to the consequences of your actions before you act or speak. Consider others feelings a bit more and learn some patience.

Libra-Scorpio Cusp

This cusp is one of the most critical people around. They have very sharp minds and just as sharp tongues and are renowned for people to be reckoned with. They have a habit of giving their opinion strait out without holding back, good or bad. Often very honest in their evaluations and can thus be feared and even avoided for their piercing frankness. Highly developed social awareness with the powerful control and detachment of Scorpio they are a force to be reckoned with. They often have a wild side and can be seen to un expectantly drop their objective stance in favor of risk and adventure. They tend to be very loyal and once committed to a goal or project; will usually see it to the end. Even if it pains them to do so. They are difficult to unseat from a position of authority or for that matter from a place in a lover's heart

Relax a bit and have a bit of fun, do not be so picky. Try to maintain balance and do some unusual things and experiences. Do not let self-pity get the better of you. Learn to let go and let the past stay in the past so that there is room in your life for the now and the future. Try to be less cynical and sarcastic.
