Origin of Scorpio:

Apollo being jealous of Orion's friendship with his sister Artemis and Orion's beauty, created a plot where Orion the mighty hunter was stung and killed by a scorpion. Both where immortalized in the heavens and Orion now flees Scorpio for Eternity. As Scorpio rises, Orion descends below the horizon.

Scorpio at a glance:

Scorpio is the 8th sign in the zodiac and the second water sign. It is ruled by the dark planet Pluto, with mars as it co-ruler. They love to direct and control things around them. They can shun human contact and deal with serious matters in purposeful fashion if it so desires. Sex is very important to them and they have a volcanic energy granted to them from Pluto in that matter, as well as the insight into the mysteries of metamorphosis and transformation. Normally a dominant force where ever they go, often serious. And to cross them you will remember their sting for a long time. Although not normally seeking confrontation, they will rather back off if it be best. No other sign is more maligned, and normally labeled as treacherous, underhanded and oversexed. Although not all Scorpios display these traits. They can easily tell if someone is no good and have no problem in letting you know how they feel about you. They do sometimes undergo a transformation in their personality, either good or bad, but normally highly serious and very suspicious of undue optimism and superficial attitudes. They do not care what you have done, but mostly judge you on what you are capable of doing, for good or bad. Even if you have done nothing wrong, they may still not like you, because it's their feeling about you that counts. You do not easily fool them and if you do, you will get stung. However, they do have an excellent sense of humor and show a mature understanding of the ironies of life. They have to be aware of the tendency of self-destructive and overly controlling behaviors and addictions. Also the inability to relinquish attachments when needed.

This cusp is one of the most critical people around. They have very sharp minds and just as sharp tongues and are renowned for people to be reckoned with. They have a habit of giving their opinion strait out without holding back, good or bad. Often very honest in their evaluations and can thus be feared and even avoided for their piercing frankness. Highly developed social awareness with the powerful control and detachment of Scorpio they are a force to be reckoned with. They often have a wild side and can be seen to un expectantly drop their objective stance in favor of risk and adventure. They tend to be very loyal and once committed to a goal or project; will usually see it to the end. Even if it pains them to do so. They are difficult to unseat from a position of authority or for that matter from a place in a lover's heart

Relax a bit and have a bit of fun, do not be so picky. Try to maintain balance and do some unusual things and experiences. Do not let self-pity get the better of you. Learn to let go and let the past stay in the past so that there is room in your life for the now and the future. Try to be less cynical and sarcastic.

Being vey intense, they do not easily let go of something once they have a hold on it. No compromise is often their motto. They do have a sunny side but seem to be tragedy magnets and have seen their share of suffering. They have a very good feeling towards people and can sense the good from the bad. This can stand them in good stead. Giving quarter is not something they know and can be relentless in a disagreement. Although they can be aggressive, they know when it is best to walk away
from confrontations that are senseless or place them at a serious disadvantage. Thus they often do not waste their energies on lesser opponents. They know how to use their charm to get what they want and coupled with a sense of humor can take them far in life. Scorpio I can grow a bad habit of being teasers and if they decide that they want to get under a victim's skin, can be at once unmerciful
and unrelenting. Living by a strict code, they often deem it more important to know why something
was done rather than judging an endeavor or action by its outcome alone. Thus they are more forgiving when you make a true mistake than if you moved against them with intention.
They hate people that achieve success by deceit. Unless you are truly sincere, an apology means nothing to them. They have the ability to maintain a consistent but often slow pace however long to achieve their dreams and goals.

Easy up a bit on yourself and demand a bit less of others around you. Give yourself some easy goals to achieve now and again. Forgive yourself a bit more for making mistakes, its how we learn after all. Try and forget and forgive those that did you wrong. Leave the past in the past.

Scorpio II people are in touch with the dark side of life. Generally Scorpio 2's know patience and are not in a hurry. Knowing that time is on the side of the persistent person, they are able to wait. They thus change their lives over many years-slowly and unseen. This can one day catch people off guard that have not been keeping up with things. Scorpio 2 does however need to guard against waiting so long that they never complete a plan or project. This can lead to brooding and depression. They need to be aware of their dark side, less it dominates their outlook to life. They have ability to sense things on a very deep level emotionally and need to guard against taking things to emotionally. Taking things to deeply can push them over the edge and bring out their dark side. They tend to sleep more deeply than most people, and can love to sleep late only to wake for good food.

Relax a bit and learn to have some lighter fun, let the lighter side within you come out a bit. Don't take things so seriously. Try and bring happiness to yourself rather than moodiness. Learn to laugh more at yourself and do not take your mistake so seriously.

Scorpio III people tend to be highly magnetic, sensual and charming. They can use these talents in selfish pursuits to further their own at a possible great price to themselves and others they may use.
They need to respect other people's wishes and dreams. Many Scorpio 3's want to bee the boss or leader and are in most cases well qualified for such position. They however tend to be highly demanding and can impose rules and delegate responsibilities in an objective fashion which can be easily accepted.
They need to guard against living to spoiling themselves, especially with costly pleasure vacations and travel. This cusp does not like authority and can often rebel against it. Yet, when they themselves are in positions of authority, they are often able to wield power skillfully.
